The Week that was:
Huge couple of weeks as Rotary members, family and friends last week returned from a hectic but very enjoyable trip covering the sights and sounds of China - scaling the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City in Beijing, then on to Xian to see the  famous Terracotta warriors; 3 nights down the Yangtze River Cruise to be educated on the magnificent work of the world's largest Hydro dam; then ending our trip in the beautiful city of Shanghai. A hugh thank you to Kai Luey for organising this trip and Ronald Chen helped with the airline tickets.  Back into the routine with a brilliant presentation from Neurological Foundation.
The upcoming week  -  Rotary exchange students speaking on their experiences away from home and Rotary.
Also we will induct a new member Ranjit Singh who needs little introduction being a Founding member of our Club. Do come along to support.
Rich Easton , CEO Neurological Foundation of New Zealand
For the benefit of those who couldn't attend last week - above poster has vital pieces of information in keeping our brain healthy shared by our speaker Rich Easton CEO, Neurological Foundation.
On Saturday night the Indian New Year Charity Fundraising committee made a cheque presentation to  Friends of Fiji Health (FOFH) of $28,000 for the purchase of a Hysteroscope equipment at their fundraising event held at Mahatma Gandhi Hall amongst some 460 guests.  Presenting the cheque alongside President Ashwini were our club members : INY Chairperson Harjeet Golian, Chris Booth, Sushila Jaduram, Vidya Nand, and INY Committee members Anita Maharaj-Booth and Chetan Thapar (Associate Member)
A proud moment for our Club and absolute pleasure supporting FoFH as INY charity major beneficiary. Receiving the cheque Dr Sunil Pillay and Rajesh Chaudhary (R-L)
